Freight Shipping & Delivery Expectations
Free Residential Curbside Freight: Your sauna kit ships directly from Leisurecraft's manufacturing facility in a secure, heavy-duty wooden shipping crate. The freight carrier will contact you via phone prior to delivery to schedule an arrival appointment.
⚠️ Critical Freight & Offloading Details (Oversized Crate):
- Curbside Drop-Off: Delivery is strictly curbside or end of driveway accessible by a standard 53' semi-truck. Drivers are not authorized to move crates onto decks, into backyards, or inside garages.
- Oversized Crate / No Liftgate Available: Because this crate measures 96" long (1,775 lbs), it exceeds the freight industry maximum 84" limit for hydraulic liftgates. Mechanical liftgates cannot be used. The recipient is responsible for offloading via mechanical equipment (forklift or tractor) or by cutting the shipping bands on the truck bed and hand-unloading modular staves with a 2–3 person helper team.
- Specialized Delivery Options: Flatbed tilt/tow delivery is a specialized carrier service ($1,450 charge) and is not included with standard curbside freight. Please reach out prior to ordering if your delivery site requires specialized equipment.
- Delivery Rescheduling & Storage: Requests to postpone a shipment must be submitted in writing at least 8 days before scheduled dispatch. Delivery holds requested within 7 days of shipping incur manufacturer holding fees of $35.00/day.
- Delivery Inspection: You must inspect the exterior crate upon arrival. If damage is visible, note "DAMAGED - SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" on the driver's Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing.
Assembly & Order Policies
- 14-Day Order Lock-In: Because each sauna is handcrafted to order in Canada, specifications (heater choice, wood type, accessories) are locked into production after 14 days. Any order edits or modifications requested after 14 days, or within 7 days of shipment, carry a mandatory $350 manufacturer change fee.
- Custom Handcrafted Sales: Built-to-order units are non-cancellable once in production. All sales are final upon dispatch from the factory.
- Transit Damage Guarantee: Any missing components or concealed damage reported within 48 hours of receipt will be replaced immediately at zero cost to you.
- Site Foundation & Electrical: Must be installed on a solid, level foundation (concrete pad, crushed gravel bed, or reinforced deck). Electric heaters (240V) or wood stove flues must be installed by a licensed contractor.
