FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why shop with The Recovery State?
We aren't a big-box retailer; we are a boutique recovery specialist. Every sauna and cold plunge in our collection is hand-selected for its build quality and physiological benefits. When you shop with us, you’re getting an authorized dealer's protection combined with the personalized support of a Washington-based team that actually understands the science of recovery.
What are the benefits of an Infrared Sauna vs. a Traditional Steam Sauna?
It comes down to how you like to sweat. Traditional saunas use high heat (185°F+) and humidity to warm the air around you. Infrared saunas use light waves to heat your body directly at lower, more manageable temperatures (120°F–150°F). Infrared is often preferred for deep tissue detoxification and "passive" cardio, while Traditional is the choice for those who love the intense, classic steam experience.
Where should I install my sauna?
Most can go indoors on any level surface (tile, concrete, or wood). For outdoor placement, ensure you select one of our "Outdoor Rated" or "Barrel" models designed to withstand the elements.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we offer complimentary, fully insured shipping on select premium systems throughout our collection. Products that qualify for free shipping will be clearly noted directly on their individual pages. For all other oversized assets, a precise freight handling fee is calculated at checkout to guarantee specialized, secure transit straight to your home.
How long should I stay in the sauna?
For cardiovascular health and longevity, the "sweet spot" is 15–20 minutes per session, 3–4 times a week. Ensure you are well-hydrated before entering and take a cold shower or plunge immediately afterward to maximize the "thermal shock" benefits.
Can I speak to someone before I order?
We encourage it. Investing in your health is a big decision. You can reach our expert recovery team at (888) 898-1024 or email us at support@therecoverystate.com. We are available Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM PST to discuss electrical specs, lead times, or which unit best fits your space.
