4. Electrical, Structural, and Engineering Disclaimer

  • Licensed Installation: High-capacity electric sauna heaters (typically 6 kW to 9 kW / 240V) and dedicated cold plunge electrical connections must be installed and hardwired by a licensed, insured electrician in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and municipal building regulations.
  • Structural Load Capacity: Cold plunge tubs filled with water exceed 800 to 1,200+ lbs, and assembled timber saunas weigh between 1,100 and 1,800+ lbs. The customer is exclusively responsible for verifying that the installation pad, deck, patio, or foundation is engineered to safely support the full dynamic weight of the equipment, water volume, and bathers.
  • Permits and Local Codes: Customers are solely responsible for researching, securing, and paying for all applicable municipal building permits, electrical permits, and Homeowners Association (HOA) approvals before assembly.

Natural checking (small cosmetic surface cracks), knot shrinkage, minor sap seepage, and seasonal expansion or contraction are intrinsic physical properties of natural lumber and do not constitute structural flaws, shipping damage, or warranty defects.
  • Outdoor Weathering: Cedar left untreated will naturally transition to a silver-gray patina over time. Periodic tightening of marine-grade barrel bands and the application of UV-inhibiting exterior stains are routine homeowner maintenance duties.

 

6. DIY Assembly & Handling Hazards

  • Heavy Freight Handling: Sauna and cold plunge components arrive in modular panels and timber staves weighing several hundred to thousands of pounds. Safe unloading and assembly require multiple capable adults, proper protective gear (gloves, steel-toe boots, eye protection), and appropriate lifting tools.
  • Limitation of Assembly Liability: Reveles Enterprises LLC accepts no responsibility for property damage, personal injury, muscle strains, or product damage incurred during the unloading, uncrating, transport, or assembly of equipment.
