1. Scope and Intent This Return and Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through The Recovery State website located at www.therecoverystate.com.

3. Return Eligibility Customers in the United States have the right to initiate a return request within 14 days of receipt. Due to the high-ticket nature and size of our wellness equipment, the following conditions apply:
3.1 Conditions for Return:
Unused and Undamaged: The item must be in new, uninstalled, and unused condition.
Original Packaging: The item must be in its original crate or packaging, secured for freight transport.
Proof of Purchase: A receipt or order confirmation is required.
4. Return Process
4.1 Initiating a Return:
Contact us at support@therecoverystate.com within 14 days of delivery.
Provide your order number and photos of the crated/packaged item.
Return Authorization: We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). No returns will be accepted without an RMA.
4.2 Shipping the Return:
Because our products (saunas/cold plunges) require LTL Freight Shipping, we will coordinate the pickup with our preferred carrier.
5. Return Shipping & Restocking Fees
Customer Responsibility: For "Change of Mind" returns, the customer is responsible for all original and return freight shipping costs.
Restocking Fee: All eligible returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee to cover inspection and warehouse processing. This will be deducted from your final refund.
6. Specific Conditions
6.1 Defective or Damaged Goods: * Immediate Inspection Required: You must inspect the freight crate upon delivery. If the crate is visibly damaged, note it on the driver's Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing.
Notification: Contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or repair at our expense.
6.2 Order Cancellation:
Before Shipment: Orders canceled before they leave the warehouse are eligible for a full refund.
In Transit: If an order is canceled while in transit, it is treated as a "Change of Mind" return (shipping costs and restocking fees apply).
7. Exceptions to the Return Policy
Exchanges: Due to the freight transport requirements of our wellness equipment, we do not accept standard exchanges for different models, sizes, or colors. If you wish to change your order, it must be processed as a return.
8. Refunds
Approval: Refunds are issued only after the item is received and inspected at our facility.
Time Frame: Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method (e.g., your credit card) within 10–14 business days.
