At The Recovery State, we prioritize your security and convenience. We provide a range of encrypted, industry-leading payment methods to ensure your transaction is seamless and protected. All processes comply with United States federal and state financial regulations.

 

2. Accepted Payment Methods

 

2.1 Credit and Debit Cards

We accept all major providers, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Your payment is processed through a secure, PCI-compliant encrypted gateway. For your protection, we never store or view your full card details on our servers.

2.2 Express Checkouts & Digital Wallets

For a faster and more secure experience, we support:

  • Apple Pay & Google Pay: Secure biometric checkout from your mobile device or browser.
  • PayPal: Select PayPal at checkout to be redirected to their secure portal to authorize your transaction.

 

2.3 ACH / Bank Wire Transfers (High-Ticket & B2B Orders)

For custom builds, commercial facility orders, or transactions exceeding $10,000, we accept secure ACH and direct wire transfers. Please contact our support team at support@therecoverystate.com to request an itemized invoice and secure routing instructions.

 

2.4 Financing Options (Buy Now, Pay Later)

We understand that high-performance recovery equipment is a significant investment. We offer flexible financing and installment plans through Shop Pay Installments (and partner providers such as Affirm, where applicable). Eligibility, interest rates, and loan terms are determined strictly by the third-party financing provider during checkout.

 

3. Payment Capture & Custom Manufacturing

Because our outdoor saunas and cold plunges are custom-built and handcrafted to order, full payment is captured immediately at checkout. Authorized funds are required to allocate raw materials (Canadian timber) and lock your unit into the factory production queue.

 

4. Auxiliary Charges & Post-Purchase Modifications

By providing your payment information, you acknowledge that your original payment method may be billed, or a supplemental invoice issued, for any customer-requested post-purchase modifications or carrier-assessed freight penalties. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Manufacturer order modification fees ($350) for changes requested after the 14-day lock-in period.
  • Upgraded specialized freight delivery ($1,450+ for flatbed/tilt-tow).
  • Freight storage fees ($35/day) for delivery delays requested within 7 days of shipment.

 

5. Payment Security & Data Protection

Your financial safety is our highest priority:

  • SSL Encryption: Our site uses 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to protect your data during transmission.
  • PCI Compliance: Our payment processors are certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, meeting the highest global standards for credit card security.

 

6. Fraud Prevention & Order Verification

To protect our customers and prevent unauthorized transactions on high-value equipment:

  • Manual Review: The Recovery State reserves the right to manually review and verify all orders.
  • Identity Verification: We may contact you via phone or email to request additional identity verification (such as a redacted government ID matching the billing address) prior to releasing freight.
  • Order Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that triggers internal fraud security alerts or fails verification.

 

7. Order Confirmation & Receipts

  • Instant Confirmation: You will receive an automated order confirmation email within minutes of a successful transaction.
  • Digital Receipt: A formal itemized receipt for your records will be included with your confirmation. If you do not see this in your inbox, please check your "Spam" or "Promotions" folder.
