Freight Shipping & Delivery Expectations
Free Residential Curbside Freight: Your sauna kit is shipped directly from Leisurecraft's facility in a heavy-duty protective wooden crate. The freight carrier will contact you in advance via phone to schedule a required delivery appointment.
⚠️ Critical Freight & Unloading Details (Oversized Unit):
- Curbside Drop-Off: Delivery is strictly curbside or end of driveway accessible by a 53' semi-truck. Drivers cannot move freight onto decks, into backyards, or inside garages.
- Oversized Crate / No Liftgate Available: Due to this unit's 96" depth, crate length exceeds the maximum 84" limit for mechanical freight tailgate/liftgates. Mechanical liftgate lowering cannot be used. The customer is responsible for curbside offloading (via tractor/forklift equipment, tilt-tow service, or by breaking down crate bands on the truck bed with a 2–3 person helper team).
- Tilt/Tow Delivery Option: Flatbed tilt/tow delivery is a specialized carrier service ($1,450 charge) and is not included with standard curbside freight. Please reach out prior to ordering if your site requires specialized equipment.
- Delivery Rescheduling & Storage: If you must delay your ship date, written notice is required at least 8 days before scheduled dispatch. Delivery holds requested within 7 days of shipment incur manufacturer holding fees of $35.00/day.
- Delivery Inspection: Inspect outer packaging upon arrival. If damage is visible, you must note "DAMAGED - SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" on the driver's Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing.
Assembly & Order Policies
Building your Canadian Timber sauna is a straightforward weekend project for two adults using standard household tools. Watch the step-by-step assembly video below before starting installation:
- 14-Day Order Lock-In: Because each sauna is handcrafted to order in Canada, specifications (heater choice, wood type, accessories) are locked into production after 14 days. Any order edits or modifications requested after 14 days, or within 7 days of shipment, carry a mandatory $350 manufacturer change fee.
- Custom Handcrafted Sales: Built-to-order units are non-cancellable once in production. All sales are final upon dispatch from the factory.
- Transit Damage Guarantee: Any missing parts or shipping damage reported within 48 hours of receipt will be replaced immediately at zero cost to you.
- Site Preparation: Install on a solid, level foundation (concrete pad, crushed gravel bed, or reinforced deck).
- Electrical & Stove Installation: Hardwired electrical connections or wood stove chimney flues must be installed by a licensed contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I speak to someone before I place an order?
We encourage it. Investing in high-ticket wellness architecture is a major decision. Reach our concierge team directly at (888) 898-1024 or support@therecoverystate.com (Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM PST) to verify dimensions, lead times, or electrical compatibility.
Where should I install my sauna?
Most units can be installed indoors on any flat, level surface capable of supporting the weight (such as tile, concrete, or reinforced wood). For exterior placement on decks or patios, select our outdoor-rated and barrel models engineered to withstand the elements.
What electrical setup is required for my sauna?
The SaunaBox® Solara (1-Person) is our dedicated plug-and-play system, operating safely on a standard dedicated 110V/120V household outlet. All other sauna models—including the SaunaBox® Forge, ALEKO, and Dundalk Leisurecraft systems—are high-performance thermal units requiring a dedicated 220V/240V circuit installed by a certified electrician. Always check the Specifications tab above for this model’s exact breaker amperage and voltage needs.
Do you offer free shipping and freight delivery?
Yes, we offer complimentary, fully insured freight shipping on all sauna systems. Oversized units ship via dedicated freight carriers equipped with hydraulic liftgates, delivering securely curbside or to your driveway with scheduled delivery appointments included.
What payment methods and flexible financing do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. For flexible terms, we offer Shop Pay Installments (with options up to 0% APR), allowing you to divide your sanctuary investment into manageable monthly payments at checkout. Additionally, our wellness systems may qualify for pre-tax HSA/FSA spending—saving eligible buyers up to ~30%.
