Freight Shipping & Delivery Expectations
Free Curbside Freight Delivery: Your sauna kit is shipped directly from Leisurecraft’s manufacturing facility securely packaged in a heavy-duty wooden freight crate. The carrier will contact you via phone prior to delivery to schedule an arrival window.
⚠️ Critical Freight & Delivery Terms:
- Curbside Drop-Off: Standard freight delivery is strictly curbside or end of driveway accessible by a 53' semi-truck. Drivers cannot move freight onto decks, into backyards, or inside garages.
- Tailgate / Liftgate Policy: Per manufacturer freight regulations, liftgate service is capped at crates 84" or under. If your crate length exceeds 84", mechanical liftgates cannot be used; unloading requires customer equipment (forklift/tractor) or uncrating the modular panels directly from the truck with a 2–3 person helper team.
- Specialized Delivery Options: Tilt/tow flatbed delivery is a specialized carrier service ($1,450 charge) and is not included with standard curbside freight. Please contact us prior to ordering if your site requires specialized equipment.
- Delivery Rescheduling & Storage: If you need to postpone shipment, written notice must be submitted at least 8 days before your scheduled ship date. Delays requested within 7 days of shipping incur manufacturer holding fees of $35.00/day.
- Delivery Inspection: You must inspect the exterior crate before signing the driver's Bill of Lading (BOL). If damage is visible, note "DAMAGED - SUBJECT TO INSPECTION" on the BOL before signing.
Assembly & Order Policies
- 14-Day Order Lock-In: Because each sauna is handcrafted to order in Canada, specifications (heater choice, wood type, accessories) are locked into production after 14 days. Any order edits or modifications requested after 14 days, or within 7 days of shipment, carry a mandatory $350 manufacturer change fee.
- Custom Handcrafted Sales: Built-to-order units are non-cancellable once in production. All sales are final upon dispatch from the factory.
- Transit Damage Guarantee: In the rare event of damage or missing hardware, report within 48 hours and replacement parts will be dispatched immediately at zero cost to you.
- Site Preparation & Electrical: Ensure placement on a level foundation (concrete pad, crushed gravel bed, or reinforced deck). Hardwired sauna heaters must be connected by a certified electrician.
